Jesse Dyck is an emerging artist from Winnipeg, MB that works with a large collection of found photographs taken in and around in the 1980's and 1990's. A project that began in 2019 when he lived in The Roslyn Square and found hundreds of these photographs scattered around the dumpster and parking lot one morning.
In order to salvage and repurpose these lost photographs, he adds layers of mixed media to create texture, repeating patterns, abstraction, and other elements to the original photographers work.
His goal is to document, catalogue and showcase their work rather than it be discarded and thrown into a landfill somewhere.
